Successful entrepreneurs Jason Best and Sherwood Neiss recognized that no one was doing anything to address the funding gap that existed post the 2008 market collapse. Traditional means of financing startups, credit cards, home equity lines, and venture capital had disappeared. Merging the principles of seed financing and crowdfunding as the solution they successfully helped the passing of The JOBS Act Obama signed into law on April 5, 2012. Until May of 2016, when the SEC finalized their rulings, Crowdfund Capital Advisors spent the majority of their time advising over 40 countries on best practices for crowdfunding for entrepreneurs.
IAEOU assisted CCA with the development of a digital highly interactive 6 module course for entrepreneurs we delivered to World Bank for the Kenya innovation Climate Center and the entrepreneurs within it. Upon its successful completion, IAEOU went on to work with The University of Anáhuac in Mexico in collaboration with The International Development Bank, Afico and NAFIN, to produce another crowdfunding education interactive course in Spanish. We also helped facilitate the launch of AFICO through a series of crowdfunding workshops for entrepreneurs and existing and new crowdfunding platform founders.
